Tata Ultra Confidence Run

About the Race

The Tata Ultra Confidence Run is a distributed run presented by the organisers of Tata Ultramarathon. The run will help participants to test and push their own limits of fitness and endurance and give them the confidence to take on the challenge of running long distances.

Race format

Run over three days. Run anywhere you choose.

  • Participants can run anywhere as per their choice.
  • Runners can register to participate in 2 categories - 35k and 50K.
  • Participants need to cover the total distance of their chosen category over a period of 1 week. They need to cover the total distance over a maximum of 3 running days of their choice between 1st – 6th December (a minimum of 10 Km needs to be covered on each running day). A suggested schedule building in appropriate rest days is given below. However, participants are free to plan their own schedules keeping in mind their own fitness and safety requirements.

  • Registrations will be open from 1st November - 30th November (midnight).
  • A nominal registration fees of Rs. 299/- per participant is applicable.
  • The entire registration fees collected will be utilised towards the Tata Better Soles initiative. The amount collected will be used to purchase shoes which will be distributed to relevant NGOs to support those in need.
  • On successful registration and payment using the link below, participants will receive a confirmation mail with their registration ID.

General Instructions

  • Participants will be required to follow all the prevailing rules and directives set by the government and organisers from time to time.
  • Participants to make sure that they do not break the protocol of maintaining Social Distance.
  • The Run is to be done at the participant’s convenience, anytime between 00:00 hrs and 23:59 hrs, at one go, with a minimum of 10K covered in each day of the run. There is no cut off time.
  • All registered participants will receive a confirmation email and SMS with a link to the form, on which they should upload their running data after completing their activity.
  • Participants should record their runs by using GPS based watch Garmin or mobile fitness app Strava only.
  • Participants will have to upload the run details (timing links) via their fitness apps (Garmin or Strava only). They also have the option to upload screenshot of the activity on the portal created by Striders.
  • Participants will have to upload the data before 12 noon of the following day of the date of the run.
  • Participants should run only in their selected category and not exceed the distance.
  • Participants to warm-up well before the run and also to cool down and stretch post-run and keep themselves hydrated.
  • Do not participate if you are have any medical conditions. Event organizers/promoters are not responsible for your health and safety.
  • Virtual live training sessions are being conducted by Striders on Monday and Friday every week from 6.00 – 7.00 am. Participants are encouraged to attend these sessions to help improve their fitness. Participants can attend these sessions by following Striders Facebook page at the appointed times Strider

Tata Ultra Confidence Run – Terms and Conditions

  1. Applicants must submit their entries by registering online and paying the entry fees.
  2. Applicants must submit their entries only via the online mode No individual/group has been authorized to collect entries on behalf of the Event Promoters.
  3. Before sending in your application, please check if you
    • Have filled in details against all mandatory fields prefixed with ‘*’ in the application form.
    • Have agreed to the ‘Data Privacy Policy’ and ‘Rules and Guidelines’ in the application form.
    • Have met the minimum age eligibility criteria of the event.
  4. Where any discrepancy is found in any of the above-mentioned mandatory requirements, your application will not to be accepted
  5. You are required to use only Garmin watch or Strava fitness app which provides you with the option to record your activity. You have the option to submit ‘quick screenshot’ from your mobile fitness app on your Tata Ultra Confidence Run profile.
  6. Event promoters will not be held responsible for any discrepancy/ error in activity data collected from the suggested apps/method of auto integration or failure to receive activity data from the suggested apps, from the participant for any reason.
  7. Screenshots submitted shall be subject to verification by the Event promoters. Where any discrepancy is observed in the activity results displayed, participant’s specific activity/activities shall stand disqualified and will not be considered in overall performance of the said participant.
  8. Once the applicant has paid for the Tata Ultra Confidence Run, requests for cancellation and thereby, refund will not be entertained.
  9. Your entry is not transferable to any other person under any circumstance.
  10. Do not participate if you have any medical conditions. Event organizers/promoters are not responsible for your health and safety.
  11. Participants must follow and adhere to all prevailing COVID-19 guidelines/Government Rules (GR) that the Government of India or the respective State Government/s enforce with regards to public lockdown, social distancing, public gathering etc. The Event promoters/their employees/Event Sponsors/Event Partners/their associates will not be responsible for actions or the consequences arising out of participant’s failure to follow any such guidelines/GR.

  13. Event Promoters reserves the right to amend or alter the terms of the Tata Ultra Confidence Run at any point in time.
  14. You can participate in 35K only if you have run a half marathon and 50K, only if you have run a full marathon in last 12 months.
  15. Minimum age to participate is 18 years.
  16. Participants should run only in their selected category and not exceed the distance.

Dos

  2. What is the event date?

    You can run the selected distance over a maximum of 3 days of your choice between 1st to 6th Dec 2020.

  3. What are the running distance categories in Tata Ultra Confidence Run?

    The distance categories are: 35K and 50K.

  4. How to complete 35K and 50K over a period of 3 days?

    You are free to plan your own schedule keeping in mind your own fitness and safety. You can cover the total distance by running on a maximum of 3 days between 1st – 6th December. You must also cover a minimum of 10K on each day of running. Below is a suggested schedule building in rest days.

    For 35K: 1st Dec – 10K | 3rd Dec – 10K | 6th Dec – 15K
    For 50K: 1st Dec – 10K | 3rd Dec – 15K | 6th Dec – 25K

  5. Can I run the entire distance in one day?

    Yes, you can. However, please ensure your own health and fitness to complete the distance in one day.

  6. How can I track my activities and submit data?

    You can record your activity by using GPS based watch Garmin or mobile fitness app Strava only. You can upload your data along with the screenshot of the run from the link provided with registration confirmation mail.

  8. Is there any qualifying criteria to participate in the event?

    Yes, You must have run a half marathon to participate in 35K and a full marathon to participate in 50K in last 6 months.

    Once the applicant has paid for Tata Ultra Confidence Run, request for cancellation or refund will not be entertained.

  17. Which payment mode will be accepted for online registrations?

    An applicant can pay online via credit card, net banking, debit card, wallet & UPI.

  18. What does the entry fee cover?

    The entry fee payable is exclusively for your participation in Tata Ultra Confidence Run. Such entry fee shall not be considered in part or full as an amount payable for any offers/promotions/ discounts/goodies that may be offered, directly or indirectly, by any Event Sponsor/Partner/Promoter or a third party by virtue of your application/participation for/in Event.

  19. What activities are not allowed in Tata Ultra Confidence Run?

    Cycling/Treadmill Run/Swimming/Static cardio activities/Yoga/Zumba/Meditation is not permitted in Tata Ultra Confidence Run.

  20. Is there any prize money/gratification for top finishers?

    There is no prize money. Gratification for participants who successfully complete the run include e-certificate, personalised virtual photo frame and Tata Cliq e-Gift Voucher worth Rs. 250/-. Further, participants who complete the 35K over a total running time of 5 hours and 50K over a total running time of 8 hours will receive a medal.

  21. How can I flag cheating cases by other runners?

  22. Should I participate if I’m under any medical condition?

    No, you should not participate if you are under any medical condition.

  23. Is there any support on the event day in terms of hydration or health and safety?

    There will not be any support on the event day. Organizers are not responsible for the health and safety of participants.

  24. How will I get my e-certificate?

    You can download the certificate after one week of the Tata Ultra Confidence Run from stridersevents.in

  25. When will I get my medal?

    Medals will be couriered within 45 days of completion of the run to participants who have uploaded their timings and satisfy the required criteria and who have provided their mailing address.
